FAQ |
| |
| |
1. How does the program work? |
|
| |
| |
First, read the VDT's Commission Program Operating Agreement for complete details. Second, sign up: Fill out a brief online application form. It will be reviewed within a few days. After you've been approved, you'll receive a confirming e-mail, along with instructions about creating a link from your site to our site. |
|
| |
| |
2. Can I participate if I live outside the United States? |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Yes. We are working to build a network all over the world. To participate, all you need is a legitimate Web site (or an idea for a web site) that does not promote violence, illegal activities or discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age. Please read the complete text of the Operating Agreement before you sign up. Commissions are paid 30 days after the end of each quarter in US dollars. |

| |
3. Does it cost anything to participate? |
|
| |
|

4. Should I mention Phone Cards on my Web site? |
|
| |
| |
It always helps to boost traffic when you create an additional “hot link” such as a permanent “Phone Cards” button on your Navigation Bar or in other places on your site. It all depends on how aggressive you want to be about generating commissions for yourself. |
|
| |
| |
5. How should I design my Web site? |
|
| |
| |
Every web site is unique, and we don't provide any kind of standard template for you to start with. In most cases, our associates already have an existing web site when they join the program. You should, however, make your link (s) to VDT's look and feel like the rest of your site. If you don't yet have a web site, you can start with a clean slate. |

| |
6. What if I don't know how to write HTML? |
|
| |
| |
While basic HTML skills and tools are relatively easy to master, you will probably need at least a few hours and some practice before you're ready to build or update your web site. There are a number of good books on the subject. You can also talk to your Internet Service Provider. In most cases, they will have someone on their staff who can assist you (usually for a fee), or they can refer you to a Web master. |

7. Can I take the order on my web site, then just send the customer and order information to VDT? |
|
| |
| |
No. Our ordering process involves validating credit cards in real-time and issuing confidential PINs for each account. These activities are complex and involve a lot of behind-the-scenes activity and support. In addition, a customer's contact and billing information is crucial to our ability to offer superior customer service. |

| |
8. If I have more than one URL, may I register all of them? |
|
| |
| |
Yes. You have two options: |
|
| |
1. You can have one account listing all of your URLs. If you choose this option, we will generate one combined weekly report and issue one combined commission check. |
|
| |
2. You can open a separate account for each URL. This option will result in a separate weekly report for each site you maintain. Most people prefer this option so that they can see the breakdown of traffic for each site. You will also receive a separate check for each account. For accounting purposes, we will not combine checks from multiple accounts. |

| |
9. How does VDT's track orders generated from my web site? |
|
| |
| |
Commission Program web sites are assigned a unique code that is embedded in their link to VDT.. Each time a customer clicks on one of those links to reach our site, this unique code identifies who sent the customer to us. You will receive your unique code (and instructions) after you fill out our online application form and are accepted into the program. |
|
| |
| |
10. Can I keep track of how many people visit and order? |
|
| |
| |
Yes. Every month, we will e-mail you a detailed report that summarizes the activity generated from your site. Look at our sample report to see how this information will help you track activity and sales. |
|
| |
| |
11. When and how do I get paid? |
|
| |
| |
We pay commissions on a quarterly basis. Approximately 30 days following the end of each calendar quarter (March 31, June 30, September 30, December 31), we will send you a quarterly report and a check for the commissions earned during that quarter, less any taxes (if any) that we are required by law to withhold. If the commissions payable to you for any calendar quarter are less than $100.00, we will hold those commissions until the total amount due is at least $100.00 or until this Agreement is terminated (if earlier). |
